Hung assembly : ウィキペディア英語版 | Hung assembly
Hung assembly is a political term used, particularly in India, to describe a political situation in Parliament or a State Legislature or any other Legislatory body, in which no Political Party or Coalition is unable to command a clear majority. This type of situation leads to a political crisis in which no party can form a government. In such a situation a minority government is formed by a party(generally the single largest party) which is capable of gaining confidence of the house during a Vote of Confidence. If no party is capable of gaining confidence, fresh elections are announced to be held at the most quickly possible date, until which "President's Rule" or "Governor's Rule"(only in The State of Jammu and Kashmir) is imposed. In India there have been many situations of Hung Assembly in the Parliament (Sansad) as well as many state legislatures (Vidhan Sabha). ==References==
